Our final challenge in the 2025 Road to the Majors Challenge series
The sixth, and final, of our 2025 Road to the Majors Challenge series will take place Saturday, August 9 – Sunday, August 17. Register and complete a half marathon distance within this challenge window to earn an additional entry into the AbbottWMM race draw of your choice (draw eligibility applies, see chart below for draw eligibility requirements).

Once you have completed your challenge and earned your challenge badge, your draw entry will be available to claim within your Runner Portal (within one hour). Your draw entry must be claimed by the deadlines stated below:
- 2026 Tokyo Marathon draw deadline: 12pm EST Thursday, August 14
- 2026 Boston Marathon draw deadline: 12pm EST Thursday, August 21
- 2026 London Marathon draw deadline: 12pm EST Thursday, August 28
To be eligible for a draw, you must have the required number of stars by the draw date, and have not completed the race previously.

New for 2025:
Our team has been hard at work to ensure credibility of gaining entrance through our draws and allow runners sufficient time to book travel, lodging, and to train for their race. With this in mind, the following updates have been made to our Road to the Majors Challenge Series this year:
- Registration is CAPPED at 2750 participants per challenge (registration will close on the cap is reached)
- Registration price $50 per challenge
- Challenge will span two full weekends (see full schedule below)
CHALLENGE REGISTRATION COST: $50
Registration includes:
- Participation in the race and final ranking
- Digital badge for all finishers
- Runners who complete the challenge receive an additional entry into the AbbottWMM race draw for the 2025/2026 Major that they are eligible for. See updated race draw details above.
Challenge Date: 9 August – 17 August 2025
Conditions:
- Run or walk 13.1 miles in one activity during the challenge date window.
- The race is open for 9 days and runs from 00:00 am Saturday August 9 – 11:59 pm Sunday August 17 your local time.
- Miles will only be counted when logged as an activity. Steps will not count towards this challenge.
- Your activity must be a tracked activity (manual entries will not be accepted). You may connect a tracking device, or app, or use the app to record your activity.
- Visit the Knowledgebase for assistance in connecting your tracking device or app.
- Miles logged for another virtual run or race during this time can be used to complete the challenge (just ensure your device is synced to your Global Run Club account).
- If you complete more than 13.1 miles in your logged run/walk, your total activity time will be recorded, and your result will be scaled on the leaderboard.
- Runners with two stars or fewer can take part in the series but will not be eligible to enter the draws. Read the our draws terms and conditions.
- All runners who complete the race in one activity, regardless of finishing time or leaderboard placement, will be granted one draw entry that can be included in a draw that they are eligible for. Draw selection will be made via a form that will be sent to finishers (once you complete your challenge) after the challenge end date.
- Draw selection must be made by August 25, 2025.

- Participants must be aged 18 years and above to register for the race.
- In extenuating circumstances, refunds may be offered at the discretion of the organizer, through August 15. Refunds beyond this date are not available.
